The precise issues to be addressed will be established from the instructions, pleadings, court directions and available documents. Legal interpretation and advocacy remain matters for the client’s legal advisers.
How an instruction works
Each instruction is considered individually to confirm the required expertise, scope, timescale and absence of any conflicts of interest.
01 — Initial review
We review the dispute, the questions to be addressed, relevant timescales and the identities of the parties before confirming whether the instruction falls within our expertise.
02 — Scope and documents
The scope of the appointment and required evidence are agreed, together with access arrangements and the documents available for review.
03 — Inspection and analysis
Where appropriate, the property is inspected and the relevant technical information, evidence and reported issues are considered independently.
04 — Reporting and further stages
A written report is prepared in accordance with the agreed instructions and applicable procedural requirements. Further involvement may include written questions, expert discussions, joint statements, supplementary reports or attendance at a hearing where required and agreed.
